Anne Haines, founder and executive director of St. Bakhita Catholic Worker House, recently appeared on Al McCauley’s Fish On Fridays YouTube show to discuss the inspiring life of Dorothy Day.

During the interview, Anne shared a poignant story about Dorothy Day. A young college woman complimented Day on the incredible work of the Catholic Worker movement, and Day responded, “It’s too big.” She believed that the Catholic Worker movement should be composed of small communities focused on fostering relationships, providing care, and living out the Gospel message of love and compassion.

St. Bakhita Catholic Worker House is dedicated to upholding Dorothy Day’s and the Catholic Worker Movement’s inspiring legacy by striving to live out the Beatitudes.
