Inaugural Blessing of the St. Bakhita Peace & Healing Garden

With great joy, we invite you to celebrate an important milestone: the welcoming of Bakhita House as Thrive For Life’s first Women’s House of Studies!
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 4 PM, we will gather to bless the new St. Bakhita Peace & Healing Garden, unveil our newly arrived statue of St. Bakhita, donated by our generous supporters, and dedicate this garden and all the women who will walk through it to her intercession.
We will be joined by Bishop Jeffrey Haines and Fr. Christopher Alt, SJ.
Together, we will give thanks for all that Bakhita House has already meant to our community and look forward with hope to all that it will become as it accompanies women on their journey from incarceration toward healing, dignity, and flourishing.
We hope you will join us as we celebrate this new chapter in the life of Thrive For Life and the many lives that will be transformed through this ministry.
Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, across from Bakhita House.
