Anne Haines, Founder &
Executive Director

Anne Haines is the founder and Executive Director of St. Bakhita Catholic Worker. In her last position she was the Executive Director of UrbanInitiatveMKE (Urban Ministry) and an Episcopal Representative for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. She has a BA in History and Philosophy with a minor in Sociology, a Secondary Education Teaching Certification (6-12) and a Masters Degree in Religious Studies (Thesis: The Prophetic Voice of Dorothy Day in Contemporary Catholic Social Justice Teaching, 2004) . Anne has worked in education at Malcolm X Academy, MATC, St. Francis Borgia Parish School, Messmer High School and Pius XI Catholic High School. She also has a long history of engagement in social issues and social activism on behalf those living in poverty and on the margins. Anne is a proud mother of six adult children and a grandmother of two.
