Greetings Friends,
As I walk through the completed first floor of St. Bakhita House, and through the halls of a second floor that is well on its way, I cannot help but think of the multitude of people of good will it took to get our beautiful home to this point. People who have prayed, stored, cleaned, painted, repaired, invited, announced, comforted, and donated so very generously. We are profoundly thankful. And it is in this spirit of gratitude that we invite you on September 25th from 11 to 2pm to come through the doors of St. Bakhita Catholic Worker House to share in the beauty of our community. There will be a blessing by Bishop Haines at 12 noon.
And we also have another exciting invitation! A generous donor, Mary Pautz, has arranged for the remarkable Dan Schutte to perform two benefit concerts where 100% of your ticket donation goes to support our place of safety, hospitality and community for women who are survivors of sexual exploitation.
