Christmas Gratitude for Seeing Christ

Christmas Gratitude for Seeing Christ

Merry Christmas! Happy Incarnation Day!! Blessings on any and every holiday we celebrate. This December has been filled with countless moments of seeing Christ born anew that I can honestly say that we have lived that spirit every day here at St. Bakhita House.

His spirit animates each of us. It is evident in the small moments. Lke the utterance of “this is the best Christmas ever” as we celebrated our Christmas movie night with pizza and beautiful gifts from generous donors. And what movie did the ladies chose for the evening? Try not to tear up. They chose “It’s a Wonderful Life”. In moments of cookie baking, community meal book club discussions, and sharing a Mass and a meal with visiting OSF Sisters. One of our community members remarked during the visit “my heart is so full”. Yes, friends, it IS a wonderful life!

And finally, THANK YOU!!! So many generous donors have opened their hearts to us help make these moments possible and have helped us to make our way toward that new roof (we fear Santa would have nowhere to land next year). Again, the spirit lives.

Blessings to each and every one of you and prayers for a beautiful new year!

Love and peace,

Anne

Christ has only one mother in the flesh, but we all bring forth Christ in faith.
