Abundant Gratitude

Abundant Gratitude

Abundant Gratitude | St. Bakhita House

Greetings Friends,

Gratitude heals. It is a gift to the recipient as well as to the person who holds the sentiment.

At St. Bakhita Catholic Worker House we make it a practice to express this daily in many different ways. During this time of thanks giving we would like to share with you some of the abundance we are deeply grateful for:

God’s grace. It flows abundantly and it is the source of all that is good in our community.

You. Your very generous love and support, given abundantly, in many different ways.

Each other. Our community of women live together, work together, eat together, pray together and have fun together. It’s not always perfect. But it is an abundant blessing.

As we pause during this time of gratitude clarity illuminates our greatest blessings. They are found in the abundant love that permeates our home. So many visitors have told us they can feel it when they spend time with us. This fills my heart with joy, because it is exactly the feeling we want to surround community of women. And we are abundantly grateful. Be assured of our gratitude and prayers, as we sit down together Thursday, to enjoy our Thanksgiving feast lovingly prepared by a generous donor family. Deo gratias.

Happy Thanksgiving dear friends,

Peace on earth,

Anne

So in this month of thanksgiving, we can be thankful for the trials of the past, the blessings of the present, and be heartily ready at the same time to embrace with joy any troubles the future may bring us.
