We embrace the spirit of service and compassion exemplified by our namesake, St. Josephine Bakhita, and the remarkable legacy of Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker movement. Rooted in the heart of Milwaukee, our mission is twofold: empowering women and teaching the beatitudes.
The teachings of the Beatitudes are the profound blessings taught by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount. In suit, we foster a spirit of compassion, service, and social justice within our community and the wider Milwaukee area.
We care for those living in poverty and on the margins in the city of Milwaukee.
We warmly welcome volunteers from all walks of life to join our cause. Whether you seek to contribute your time and skills, embrace personal growth, or support our mission financially, your participation is a valued gift to our community.
May faith, hope, and love guide our mission forward and create a brighter future for women survivors.
